Skills
- Competence with test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, and current probes.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI.
- Knowledge of electromechanical components like motors, solenoids, thermocouples, and RTDs.
- Expertise in analog and digital electronics and circuit design.
- Experience with electronic CAD tools, preferably Altium.
- Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity design principles.
Responsibilities
- Assist in research and development of aircraft engines, engine components, combustion and fuel injection systems.
- Perform full cycle PCB design including requirements gathering, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision, testing, debugging, and system integration.
- Conduct integration and developmental testing of complex electrical and engine subsystem interactions.
- Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses for electronic equipment.
- Conduct vendor surveys and evaluate engine system components for sourcing.
- Participate in peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews.
- Build and test engine system components through lab, ground, and flight tests.
- Perform root cause analysis to support field operations.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
