Responsibilities
- Lead and support cross-functional engineering teams in new product development and design for manufacturing.
- Participate in specification, design, development, assembly, and testing of product hardware.
- Provide manufacturing input during mechanical design reviews and enforce DFx principles.
- Perform new product and sustaining engineering tasks.
- Train and mentor contract manufacturing personnel to ensure production quality.
- Improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Approve and validate mechanical first articles.
- Assist in early prototype testing and troubleshoot to identify root cause failures.
- Develop manufacturing process documentation and best practices.
- Engage in value engineering and cost reduction activities.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
