SOREL Sr. Brand Marketing Specialist - Men's, Collaboration & Energy

*This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ in Portland, OR. In-office expectation is 3 days a week.*

Born in a snowstorm in 1962, SOREL was created at the Kaufman rubber factory in Kitchener, Ontario to protect Canadians from frozen winter conditions. From taking the first steps on the North Pole to their adoption as the first snowboarding boots in the 80’s, the Caribou established SOREL as a brand to be trusted in any element and on any adventure. Known for merging reliable performance with daring aesthetics, SOREL has earned a fiercely loyal following across a diverse landscape of marketplaces, ranging from snow sports and streetwear to travel and luxury. The SOREL brand continues to push boundaries, collaborating with artists, explorers and visionaries from arctic landscapes to Paris runways.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This Sr. Brand Marketing Specialist of Men’s, Collaborations & Energy will support the marketing vision and strategy for collaboration and energy. They will be working hand in hand with the product team, brand team as well as legal & PR. This individual will help to drive continued cultural relevance and excitement with our pinnacle lifestyle consumer across men’s, collaborations and energy.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Support the Director of Marketing on all Energy and Men’s Marketing initiatives, including seeding, activations, communication, and contract management

  • Contribute to identifying and evaluating potential cultural opportunities with brand partners and moments that align with our brand values and audience.

  • Manage timelines, budgets, and internal / external communications for campaigns from concept to launch.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PR, social, legal, site & product teams to bring projects to life.

  • Develop compelling campaign recaps, presentations and state of the market reports as and when necessary.

  • Build strong relationships with external brand and creative partners becoming a key conduit between SOREL and our creative network.

  • Manage energy lifestyle seeding strategy across both collaborations and inline energy.

  • Support the management of social media accounts, partnering directly with content-owners in Creative, Ambassadors, PR/Communications, and Digital Marketing to ensure feeds reflect Broadcast Calendar and brand strategy

  • Liaise between Brand Team and external ambassadors to ensure content is collected and distributed in line with calendars and strategy, including our partnership with Ocean Conservancy

  • Partner with Media Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to ensure influencer content is aligned, while seeking new partners and solutions for Men’s and Energy marketing.

YOU HAVE

  • Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience preferably in the fashion/energy space with a solid understanding of cultural trends with the ability to translate them into relevant brand opportunities.

  • Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with the ability to prioritize accordingly.

  • Experience working with external creative partners. Specifically in understanding and managing the nuances that come with working with highly creative partners and managing across international marketing teams.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple touchpoints per project.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in communications, marketing, journalism, or related fields.

  • Experience on the brand side and/or with an agency.

  • PR and media experience with campaign planning and managing budgets. 

  • Flexibility and the ability to pivot in real-time with a creative approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects and varying phases of a campaign in a matrixed environment.

  • Understanding of the full funnel of consumer marketing, including Owned, Earned, Paid strategy and execution.

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel.

  • Strong network within the streetwear/fashion industry.

  • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations effectively.
