VP, Retail Marketing

Cresco Labs, a leading public cannabis company, is seeking a VP of Retail Marketing to drive and scale marketing efforts for their Sunnyside retail brand, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand affinity through digital and retail-first strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own end-to-end retail marketing strategy focused on customer acquisition, retention, and brand affinity.
  • Manage retail marketing budget aligned with P&L goals and deliver measurable business results.
  • Collaborate with P&L owners and cross-functional stakeholders to align marketing goals with business outcomes.
  • Define and maintain cohesive retail brand vision across physical stores, digital channels, and branded products.
  • Build scalable local and national marketing programs in partnership with store teams and field operations.
  • Lead performance measurement and optimization using KPIs to enhance marketing impact.
  • Innovate digital retail experiences including loyalty programs, personalized e-commerce, and seamless transactions.
  • Drive CRM channel development including high-conversion email and SMS marketing campaigns.
  • Manage paid media, national advertising, referral, and review programs to amplify brand awareness.
  • Lead in-house creative team to deliver quality marketing materials on time.
  • Provide dotted-line leadership to regional marketing teams ensuring brand consistency and strategy alignment.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and operational excellence within the marketing organization.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication and initiative execution with various departments.
  • Champion a testing and feedback culture to continually refine marketing strategies.
  • Oversee marketing operations systems ensuring scalability and repeatability across teams.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in marketing leadership roles (10+ years)
