Responsibilities
- Architect high-performing and engaging Shopify store themes to boost sales and user acquisition
- Collaborate with UX and UI teams to create inventive front-end user experiences
- Own API strategy and development utilizing Shopify's REST and GraphQL Admin APIs
- Manage integrations with Marketing Tools, Platform APIs, and Shopify Apps
- Set up and oversee webhooks for real-time data synchronization and error handling
- Regularly test and debug websites to enhance performance and resolve issues
- Optimize website features to increase conversion rates
- Debug and troubleshoot Shopify-based issues and integrations
- Stay current with Shopify features, updates, and ecosystem developments
- Integrate third-party apps and plugins to enrich e-commerce functionality
- Create design specifications and mentor other engineers
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality
- Define standards to improve team delivery
- Lead and manage agency and nearshore technical resources
- Mentor junior developers and enforce best development practices
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is a plus
