The role:
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for maximizing room revenue, total hotel revenue, and profitability through strategic analysis, pricing, distribution, and inventory control. This leader drives the hotel's revenue strategy by utilizing data-driven insights, managing rate structures, and optimizing channel mix, while working closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations teams.
The Edgewater is an independent boutique, one of kind, 223 rooms iconic hotel with 11,000 sq ft of meeting space.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement short and long-term revenue strategies to achieve or exceed budgeted revenue and profitability targets.
Collaborate with hotel leadership and ownership to define and align commercial strategies.
Serve as the primary champion of pricing, forecasting, and inventory management strategies.
Forecasting & Analysis:
Lead the development of accurate 30-60-90-day forecasts, long-range forecasts, and annual budgets.
Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and historical data to inform decisions.
Provide regular performance updates to ownership and executive leadership.
Pricing & Distribution:
Manage pricing strategy across all segments and channels (transient, group, corporate, OTA, GDS, brand.com).
Oversee inventory management across all platforms to ensure rate integrity and maximize occupancy.
Ensure proper implementation of promotions, packages, and special rates.
System & Data Management:
Maximize use of revenue management systems (RMS), central reservation systems (CRS), and business intelligence tools.
Maintain system accuracy and work with IT or brand representatives to optimize functionality.
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and Digital teams to drive total revenue performance.
Lead weekly revenue strategy meetings and monthly forecast reviews.
Work closely with Group Sales to manage group ceilings, displacement analysis, and rate negotiations.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, RGI, and Total Revenue Per Available Room (TRevPAR).
Ensure hotel achieves or exceeds goals for STR index (RGI, ARI, MPI).
Salary: $130k plus Bonus Potential

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of hotel revenue management experience; luxury or lifestyle experience preferred.
Experience with hotel systems (e.g., Opera, Synxis, Ideas, Duetto, or comparable RMS and CRS tools).
Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel and data modeling abilities.
Strategic thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change.
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with regular participation in meetings and executive reviews.
