Job Summary:
This position requires strong technical and computer skills for producing garment embellishment templates using Sierra, Excel, Illustrator and Photoshop applications through PC and Mac systems, to meet customer’s expectations. This position is responsible for archiving and maintaining graphic files, and devising cost quotes for requested embellishment designs. Assists Designers and others, as needed. Other duties, as assigned. This job is performed in an office environment.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Graphic Design or other related field is preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to learn and successfully use Sierra, Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other software related to our embellishment process.
- Ability to learn grading and seam allowance to effectively produce embellishment graphics.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills to understand embellishment orders and devise cost quotes
- Checking quotes, grading, and production color pictures
- Communicating with other departments/supervisors about issues or projects
- Creating production color pictures, scanning and monitoring orders
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Visual acuity to accurately distinguish colors
- Understanding of linear measurements
- Trouble shooting technical and software issues
- Ability to learn new programs and systems quickly
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to help where needed in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to review work for accuracy while still being efficient
- Familiarity with garment construction and patterns is preferred
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting
- Manual dexterity of fingers and hands
- Occasional standing and walking through production areas
- Ability to lift up to 5 pounds
