Client Development Director

Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting firm, looking for a seasoned Client Development Director to lead business development strategy, drive client engagement, and expand project opportunities regionally and firmwide.

Skills

  • Strong leadership in business development and strategic growth.
  • Expertise in client targeting, acquisition, and retention.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of federal environmental regulatory policy and funding landscape.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic business development leadership regionally and firmwide.
  • Develop and execute annual strategic growth and client development plans.
  • Lead pursuits, capture planning, and go/no-go decisions for key projects.
  • Cultivate and expand client and industry partner relationships.
  • Represent ESA at industry events and conferences.
  • Mentor and coach staff on business development best practices.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and equitable client development practices.

Education

  • Graduate degree in environmental science, planning, or related interdisciplinary field.
