TITLE: Senior Marketing Director 

REPORTS TO: SVP, Marketing

LOCATION: Farmacy HQ in New York, NY. Hybrid, in-person 2 days per week on a set schedule (currently Tuesdays & Wednesdays)

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll develop and drive effective 360 marketing programs for all new product launches and existing core heroes in the portfolio, from conception to final execution. You are a strategic thinker with a creative flair, experienced in leading high-impact marketing initiatives within the beauty industry. You’ll partner closely with internal teams including Product Development, Creative, Consumer Engagement, Ecommerce, and Key Accounts, as well as external partners like agencies, freelancers, and our retailers. You will report to the SVP of Marketing. You’ll directly manage a team with four disciplines (Social, Brand Marketing, Education, and Copy).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Manage innovation calendar and product marketing strategy including product architecture, and product launch process. Partner with Product Development teams to lead creation of product concepts, marketing copy, claims, & education materials.  
  2. Brief Creation In partnership with Senior Marketing Manager, coach + contribute to development of clear and thoughtful campaign briefs. 
  3. Launch Development + Implementation. Drive the ideation and execution of 360 GTM marketing plans for all launches and programs in alignment with cross-functional partners.
    1.  Oversee the development and deployment of the launch toolkits containing campaign concept + messaging, claims, content strategy, paid media assets, in-store assets, e-commerce assets, press releases, influencer guidelines and activation concepts.
  4. Brand DNA Champion. Create breakthrough campaigns that push the brand forward while maintaining the brand’s DNA, ensuring voice is consistent across all customer touchpoints.
  5. Retailer liaison. Lead message track and materials for Market Week reviews with the retailer(s). Partner with creative and retail marketing teams to drive brand concepting for visual merchandising
  6. Social. In partnership with Assistant Manager of Social, coach + contribute to content creation planning, process and calendarization with clear feedback and strategic direction.
  7. Brand Voice. Coach Copywriter and oversee all cross-functional copy assets. 
  8. Education. Coach our Sr Manager of Education with developing Edu strategy, materials and partnering with retailers and global partners to lead training.
  9. Leveraging data. Analyze sales data, industry trends, product reviews, and competitive research to identify actionable insights.
  10. Team Leadership. Lead by example, champion and foster an environment of positivity, collaboration and inclusion.  Manage and develop your team, strategically delegating assignments, managing workload, and supporting career growth and development.

  • 12+ years of professional Marketing experience.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Beauty industry experience is a must.
  • Thrive in a start-up environment with an all-hands-on-deck positive attitude.
  • Able to reliably commute to the New York office minimum 2 days per week + ad hoc as needed. 
  • Estimated Salary Range: $175,000 - $215,000 per year (pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience).
