Enterprise Network DNS IPAM Engineer (TS/SCI CI Poly) - Northern VA
Skills
- Strong knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 addressing, DNS, IPAM, and ASNs.
- Experience with Infoblox NIOS, DDI, and IP address management tools.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, BGP, Anycast DNS, subnetting, and routing protocols.
- Knowledge of IANA and Regional Internet Registry policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and manage Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions.
- Configure and manage DNS and IPAM systems within enterprise network infrastructure.
- Manage IP address allocation and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) for routing and network policy.
- Integrate Infoblox with automation tools and other systems for streamlined network management.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for DNS/IPAM and ASN routing optimization.
- Perform IP address audits and reclaim unused address space.
- Design and implement IPv4 to IPv6 transition strategies.
- Collaborate on subnet design and VLAN planning with network engineers.
- Maintain thorough documentation of IP and ASN allocations.
- Provide technical support for IP-related network issues.
- Work cross-functionally with network, security, and IT teams to integrate Infoblox solutions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging IP management technologies.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
