SENIOR DEVELOPMENT ANALYST


SUMMARY

As a Senior Development Analyst you will play a critical role in the company's growth and expansion by conducting in-depth analysis and due diligence on potential real estate development projects. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of real estate market analysis, financial modeling, and development feasibility. You will evaluate potential development sites, assess market conditions, and prepare financial projections to support investment decisions. This role is essential for identifying and pursuing profitable development opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate potential development sites.
  • Analyze market trends, demographics, and economic conditions to assess the feasibility of development projects.
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop detailed financial models to project the costs, revenues, and profitability of development projects.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various assumptions on project performance.
  • Prepare pro forma financial statements and cash flow projections.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential development sites, including reviewing zoning regulations, environmental reports, and engineering studies.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and liabilities associated with development projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive feasibility studies that evaluate the viability of development projects.
  • Analyze factors such as market demand, construction costs, financing options, and regulatory approvals.
  • Prepare presentations and reports that summarize the findings of market research, financial analysis, and due diligence.
  • Present investment recommendations to senior management and investment committees.

Requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.    
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate development analysis, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and expertise.    
  • Deep understanding of real estate market dynamics, financial analysis, and development processes.    
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.    
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, market research tools, and real estate analysis software.    
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.
