Mission Bit is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2025 Intro to Python class at Burton High School in San Francisco, where you'll help foster a supportive classroom environment and empower youth in STEM education.
Responsibilities: Engage in community building, support student progress, manage classroom behavior, and collaborate with instructional staff to ensure a productive learning environment.
Skills: Experience working with youth in educational settings, strong communication skills, and ability to foster collaborative student relationships.
Qualifications: Experience with Python or coding, project-based learning, and bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
Location: In-person at Burton High School, San Francisco, CA, with no travel required.
Compensation: $23 - $23 / Hourly
Mission Bit is a San Francisco-based nonprofit that inspires youth of color to explore the world of STEM with project-based computer science education that embraces their identities. We offer a variety of hands-on STEM education programs, including biweekly, semester-long introductory coding courses.
As a TA for the Intro to Python class, you’ll promote a welcoming and supportive class community, foster productive collaboration, track student progress, and help students realize their potential.
We’re proud to provide training to all instructional staff to prepare them to teach, along with ongoing support throughout the semester!
