Position Summary:
Assist in executing a comprehensive plan to enhance the profile of National Runaway Safeline (NRS) among key audiences, increase visibility of programs and their impact and national leadership, ensuring branding standards are consistently used and provide meaningful and regular communication to internal and external audiences. Leads the development and distribution of communication materials to external audiences.
Core Responsibilities:
· Maintain the NRS and National Communications System websites offering comprehensive resources, information, interactive opportunities and easy access to our 24-hour crisis services;
· Lead website development and contribute branded content development to agency and program websites.

· Ability to attend events in various locations either via personal transportation, rental, or public transportation.
· Participates in assigned special projects and responses to ad hoc requests as assigned.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred; High School Diploma with some relevant college coursework required.
· At least 3 years of professional marketing/communications/graphic design/webpage development required.
· Demonstrated experience in managing multiple social media sites.
· Working knowledge of Google Analytics and other social metrics to inform decision making.
· Demonstrated experience developing marketing and communications materials
· Experience in website development with proficiency and experience with content management systems, ideally WordPress preferred.
· Proficiency and experience with e-communications and template building preferred
· Non-profit and / or organizing background and experience on advocacy campaigns preferred
· Demonstrates advanced presentation, written, and proofreading communication skills.
· Knowledge of the social services environment, with a preference for experience in crisis intervention is preferred;
· Self-starter and detail-oriented; producing high quality work, free of errors with close attention to accuracy and detail;
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
· Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with diverse teams and build strong relationships;
· Creative problem-solving skills with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset;
· Experience prioritizing and managing projects from start to finish and proven track record of meeting deadlines;
· Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills;
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Publisher), Adobe and design software such as Canva or similar platforms and google analytics;
· Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language.
· Ability to spend long periods of time at a desk and/or working on a computer.
Additional Requirements:
· The applicant must submit to a criminal background check and a child abuse and neglect screening and maintain a clear status throughout employment.
· Develops competencies with applicable web-based systems used by the department within the first 90 days of employment.
