- Proficiency with nuclear PRA/QRA methodologies and software (CAFTA, SAPHIRE, ADAPT, RAVEN)
- Experience conducting HAZOP, FMEA, and other process hazard analyses
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
Responsibilities
- Develop PRA/QRA models for the UNF recycling facility
- Identify and analyze initiating events and event sequences
- Quantify event sequence probabilities and evaluate consequences
- Incorporate risk insights into facility design to improve reliability and safety
- Support regulatory licensing through technical reports and analyses
- Evaluate internal process hazards and external natural phenomenon hazards
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field required
- Master’s or Ph.D. highly desirable
