Senior Manager of Fitness

The Senior Manager of Fitness leads the Workout Design & Experience team in collaboration with the Director of Fitness, ensuring all workouts meet Orangetheory Fitness standards, are scientifically sound, and delivered on time and at high quality. These workouts are performed daily by 150K+ members across the globe – the ability to create inspiring, challenging, and results driven workouts for the wide range of member fitness abilities is key.  The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional leadership, analytical thinking, and expertise in project and team management. This role involves managing a monthly high- volume output of content and supporting deliverables, maintaining workout quality, consistency and safety, and aligning fitness programming with product evolution and coach education initiatives.

PURPOSE + IMPACT (Key Responsibilities)

• Drive the strategy and lifecycle of fitness content, from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with brand standards and user experience goals
• Overseeing team workload and ensuring deadlines are met
• Supporting quality assurance efforts
• Assisting with team recruitment and hiring
• Collaborating on workout creation and design with both key internal and external stakeholders
• Leading fitness projects across multiple departments
• Operating as a Subject Matter Expert in the exercise science field with a desire for continued growth

QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of experience as a fitness content creator, contributor, or program designer
• 2+ years of experience leading teams in fitness program design and execution, including managing coaches or content creators responsible for workouts, training plans, and instructional content
• Ability to demonstrate Leadership in the fitness industry
• Bachelor’s Degree, Exercise Science related field a plus
• Successful completion of the OTFit Certificate Workshop (upon hire) 
• Familiarity with a project management–based approach to content planning, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration
• Current CPR/AED certification 
• Current nationally accredited personal trainer or group exercise instructor certification from: ACE, NASM, AFAA, NSCA or ACSM 

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in running, rowing, and strength/conditioning programming
• Experience as an Orangetheory Fitness Coach

• Attention to Detail: Ensures precision and accuracy in all aspects of fitness programming and project management.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

1-2x per quarter for network visits and presentations according to business needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY 
This position will include people management responsibilities around leading teams in fitness program design and execution.

WORK SCHEDULE

Orangetheory Fitness, an affiliate of Purpose Brands LLC, currently observe the following hybrid work model for employees at our Boca Raton (FL), Woodbury (MN), and Seattle (WA) offices:

• Remote optional: Wednesdays and Fridays
• On-site days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
