Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve quality and efficiency performance issues, escalating when necessary.
- Design and implement coaching strategies to enhance team quality and productivity.
- Cultivate skills and professional development of abstractor team members.
- Review operating metrics to support business financial goals with data-driven recommendations.
- Lead orientation and onboarding of new partner team members and oversee greenlighting.
- Coordinate with Clinical Services Lead on case-specific and quality-related issues.
- Manage case review processes including monthly CERs, IRRs, and Treatment Grids to ensure accuracy.
- Develop and implement re-education materials addressing quality risks.
- Manage quality and data integrity tasks including pre-submission cleanup and fallout reviews.
- Maintain and update team support documentation like Measure Detail Document (MDD).
- Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned registries or measures.
- Perform up to 15-20% direct data abstraction as needed.
Education
- 3+ years direct data abstraction experience in the NCDR/ACC registries.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with multiple medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
