Job Title: QE Lead – BDD Architecture

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically hands-on QE Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BDD (Behavior Driven Development) architecture, strong development and automation skills using TypeScript and .NET, and prior experience working in the commissions or incentive compensation domain.

As a QE Lead, you will define test strategies, implement robust automation frameworks, guide the QA team, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead QE initiatives for commissions/incentive systems with a focus on BDD-driven test automation.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks in TypeScript and .NET.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and developers to define acceptance criteria using Gherkin syntax (Given/When/Then).
• Develop and maintain reusable BDD test scenarios and step definitions.
• Drive end-to-end test strategy, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and data validation testing.
• Define and implement quality gates within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Mentor and lead a team of QE engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce quality standards.
• Champion best practices in Test-Driven Development (TDD), shift-left testing, and continuous quality improvement.
• Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality releases.

Required Skills:

12+ years of experience in software testing/automation with at least 3+ years in a lead role.

• Proven experience with BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, Cucumber, or Gauge.
• Strong programming and automation skills in TypeScript and .NET (C#).
• Experience working in commissions, payroll, or incentive-based systems is a must.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and test management tools (like TestRail or Zephyr).
• Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and database testing (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for web automation in TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Azure, Snowflake, or other cloud/data platforms.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification in test automation or quality engineering.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter or k6.
• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence.
