Skills
- Proficient knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings to identify callout errors.
- Experience with metrology tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gages, thread gages, optical comparator, and CMM/PCMM operation.
- Competency in inspection documentation standards such as AS9102, NCRs, and familiarity with AS9100 and ISO9001 QMS.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of flight hardware using metrology tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, Romer arm, and CMM.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using CAD models, drawings, and work order requirements.
- Provide detailed inspection feedback to the Machine Shop and collaborate with Engineering, Additive, and other teams to address quality issues.
- Document inspection results, including non-conformances and deviations, thoroughly and accurately.
