Job Summary
Under general direction, plans and coordinates enrollment management aspects of new student/parent scholarship and financial aid; serves as liaison between the office of student financial services and the office of undergraduate admission.
Job Duties
Plans, develops, and evaluates the scholarship/financial aid activities relative to the recruitment and retention of students; plans and coordinates undergraduate admission scholarship/financial aid related counseling, re-packaging, follow-up and analysis of effectiveness; assists with related counseling; advises and counsels students, parents, agencies and University staff on all aspects of financial aid programs (federal, state, university, private); processes applications and documents related to aid programs.
Participates in the evaluations, writing, editing, and design of scholarship/financial aid publications.
Reviews and updates award notifications; coordinates special condition applications; problem solves for aid applicants; interacts with personnel to coordinate the award notifications and billing for new students.
Trains admission counselors in all aspects of University scholarship/financial aid programs, policies, procedures, practices, and regulations. Serves as initial point of contact for admission counselors.
Coordinates on and off campus scholarship/financial aid workshops and seminars for students, parents, alumni, and high school guidance counselor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
