Role Overview

Sodexo School Services is seeking a high energy Food Service Manager to join our management team, at Waco Independent School District, in Waco, TX. 

Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage front-line production employees in a dynamic environment.

At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. Joining us at one of our school sites means fostering healthy learning environments and positively influencing the students’ well-being and performance.

This position has a start time of 7:00 am, M-F.  

What You'll Do

• Maintain and develop client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
• Establish and maintain a safe work environment
• Supervise multiple K-12 school sites day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
• Utilize Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
• Manage by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement

What You Bring

• At least two years of experience with oversight of day-to-day operations by making sure menu planning, meal pattern compliance, recipes, and HACCP standards are being followed.
• Ability achieving company and client financial targets and goals
• Experience developing and maintaining client and customer relationships
• Experience developing strategic plans
• Ability to create a positive environment
• Experience ensuring company standards are met
• ServeSafe Certified
• Management experience
• Well organized, critical thinker, resourceful, and self-motivated
• Bilingual is preferred, but not necessary
• Basic professional cooking knowledge
