Supporter Outreach Manager

The Democratic National Committee is looking to hire a Supporter Outreach manager who will engage with Party supporters who are seeking information about how to donate and volunteer with the party and campaign to ensure they receive thoughtful 1:1 responses that help supporters feel heard by the Party, get them the information they need, and empower them to take action in this critical election. 


Responsibilities:
  • Manage a group of volunteers, which includes: platform trainings, onboarding, community meetings, recruitment, and troubleshooting/support.
  • Cultivate relationships with volunteer leaders and other supporters.
  • Manage our various inboxes to ensure any responses are resolved in a timely manner. 
  • Create sophisticated systems across our various managed inboxes, including but not limited to: our info@ box, all of the DNC’s owned social media pages, our website outreach form, our mobile inboxes, and more.
  • Collaborate with the Donor Relationships team to empower supporters. 
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.


Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years in an organizing or digital role with a campaign, advocacy group or committee.
  • Able to work independently and on a team and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ActionKit, Reach, Mobilize, Monday.com, and Helpscout.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you should have an eagle-eye for typos and errors and have a deep understanding of how to engage with supporters to make them feel heard.


Salary: The starting salary for the Supporter Outreach Manager position is $65,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.  This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
