Junior Computer Analyst

Description

Tyto Athene is searching for a Junior Computer Analyst to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.

 

The Junior Computer Analyst performs system analysis, troubleshooting, and technical support to sustain USSOUTHCOM’s enterprise IT operations. The entry level position works under the guidance of senior analysts and engineers, assisting in troubleshooting, data validation, documentation, and end user support in accordance with DoD standards.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assists in monitoring and maintaining computer systems, networks, and applications to optimize performance and availability
• Supports the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of hardware and software solutions, ensuring compliance with security policies and operational requirements
• Conducts basic diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues and escalates complex problems to senior analysts
• Works with automation tools and system monitoring platforms to identify trends and improve system efficiency
• Assists in data analysis, report generation, and documentation of IT processes to support decision-making and operational improvements
• Responds to Tier 1 service requests, providing technical support for end users and collaborating with IT teams to address system vulnerabilities and security concerns
• Supports cybersecurity initiatives, system updates, and patch management to maintain compliance with DoD regulations and best practices
• Participates in system testing, process optimization, and performance assessments to enhance enterprise IT operations

Qualifications

Required:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• 0-3 years of experience in supporting IT systems.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, basics networking, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a collaborative team.

Desired:

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field
• Experience with IT ticketing systems, (e.g. ServiceNow).
• Understanding of basics cybersecurity principles and DoD computing environments.
• Familiarity with SQL, scripting language or data visualization tools is a plus.
• ITIL v4 Foundation
• CompTIA Network+ CE

Clearance:

• Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI

Certification:

• DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
• CompTIA Security+ CE
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals AZ-900
