Summary of Job Duties:

The Associate Director of Admissions Operations manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of Graduate and International Admissions. Working under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the Associate Director (AD) uses and maintains the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, oversees the processing of graduate and international admissions applications, documents, and associated procedures. This position manages staff, including hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, evaluating, and terminating staff. The AD will facilitate the development of program-specific admissions processes in the CRM and will work closely with college programs and departments to manage training and supervision of workflow procedures and processes. This position serves as an information base for University faculty and administrators regarding graduate and international admission and ensures a strong customer service focus within the department.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least two years of experience in an admissions-related position

  • Experience directing team(s), facilitating training, and delegating the work of others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Experience working in and utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, particularly Slate and Student Information Systems

  • Experience using data to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current technologies and issues concerning admission and enrollment management in higher education

  • Knowledge of international educational systems and structures

  • Knowledge of US visa laws, rules, and regulations

  • Personnel leadership, management and training, and coordination of people and resources

  • Skill in using logic and reasoning to build reports and analyze data

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to improve efficiency in business processes and system workflows

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions

  • Ability to work with others and collaborate across various college or university departments
