Design Engineering Department
The Solutions Engineering North America (NA) comprises of a skilled team of Solutions Architects and Engineers. Our collective expertise is harnessed to create customized adaptations of the forefront Vantage Data Center prototype that perfectly cater to the unique requirements of our customers. Throughout this process, close collaboration takes place with Sales, Operations, and management teams. The Solutions Engineering team also maintains a close partnership with the Design Engineering and Construction teams, working together to craft a seamlessly integrated design that ensures the efficient execution of new and existing standards and designs.

Position Overview
This role can be based remotely or in one of our US or Canada locations.
Vantage is seeking a skilled and strategic Solutions Engineering Senior Director to support our hyperscale customers. The Senior Director will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative and effective solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of technology and customer requirements, who can lead a diverse team of engineers and collaborate effectively across departments. The Senior Director of Solutions Engineering will ensure technical excellence and customer satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Customer Engagement:
Engage with customers to understand their needs, gather requirements, and develop tailored solutions that address their business challenges.
Act as the primary technical contact for key customers, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Lead customer presentations and technical discussions to demonstrate the value and capabilities of the company's solutions.
Technical Excellence:
Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Drive innovation within the Solutions Engineering team, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Implement best practices for software development, project management, and quality assurance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, product management, and customer support teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions and successful project delivery.
Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to influence product development based on customer feedback and market trends.
Ensure effective communication and coordination between the Solutions Engineering team and other departments.
Performance Management:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Solutions Engineering team to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency.
Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development.
Additional Duties:
Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, required.
Experience:
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in solutions engineering or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in hyperscale data center design. Experience in large scale liquid cooling design is a plus.
Proven experience in managing engineering teams and delivering complex technical solutions.
Skills:
Strong technical background with a deep understanding of engineering principles, software development, and system architecture.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in software development methodologies, project management, and quality assurance practices.
Familiarity with cloud computing, data center operations, networking, and cybersecurity.
Experience with modern programming languages, development frameworks, and tools.
Travel required is expected to be up to 50% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $230,000-$250,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
