How you make a difference

The Senior Procurement Specialist supports departments such as Operations, Clinical Administration, and IT by executing strategic sourcing and tactical purchasing. This role manages vendor partnerships and oversees contract negotiations and renewals to achieve enterprise-wide savings. It develops sourcing strategies, negotiates regional and national agreements, and ensures contract compliance. The position also monitors savings performance and integrates results into corporate budgets. The specialist is responsible for leading procurement projects from start to finish while ensuring adherence to ethical standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contract negotiations, RFI/RFP processes, and implement cost-saving agreements.

• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to drive continuous improvement and savings.

• Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives and full-cycle procurement projects.

• Track and report savings impact, embedding results into corporate budgeting.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws while supporting procurement goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or finance, preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years’ experience in procurement in a large-scale environment, multi-site experience preferred.

• Prior supply chain, operations, or procure-to-pay experience.

• Correctional healthcare procurement experience preferred.

• Successful, track record in a procurement role.

• Large corporate experience is preferred.
