Skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn procedures and processes related to pipeline control.
Responsibilities
- Remotely start/stop pumps, compressors, and operate valves.
- Monitor and control the movement of products through multiple lines and facilities.
- Monitor storage field activity.
- Analyze changing conditions and alarms and make necessary adjustments.
- Determine accurate timing of pipeline events such as deliveries and batches.
- Detect abnormal operations quickly and react using critical judgement.
- Coordinate pipeline integrity and maintenance activities with field personnel.
- Communicate with field personnel, scheduling groups, customers, and suppliers to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.
Education
- Minimum of 60 college credit hours with relevant oil and gas field operations or plant experience, or relevant military air traffic control experience.
