VP, Commercial Sales

Workato is a leading enterprise orchestration platform that enables businesses to streamline operations through AI-powered automation. They are seeking a VP of Commercial Sales to lead and scale their commercial sales team, driving growth and expanding market presence.

Skills

  • Proven track record in building and managing successful software sales teams
  • Strong outbound sales management experience covering complete sales cycles
  • Ability to scale sales teams effectively in a high-growth environment
  • Proficient in sales forecasting and pipeline management
  • Deep understanding of enterprise sales and account management
  • Excellent coaching and mentorship capabilities
  • Experience navigating complex sales organizations and negotiations
  • High emotional intelligence and self-awareness

Responsibilities

  • Shape and grow the system and approach for Enterprise Automation for $100M-$2B accounts
  • Coach and empower the sales team to prospect, qualify leads, and build a strong sales pipeline
  • Support senior deal negotiations and provide strategic sales support
  • Recruit and onboard new Account Executives and accelerate ramp-up
  • Forecast sales and report business status to executive leadership
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Business Development teams
  • Develop deep understanding of Workato platform to guide sales efforts
  • Evangelize sales playbook and drive adoption within the team
  • Cultivate and develop next generation sales leaders
  • Share best practices throughout the company
  • Act as a company builder and embody core operating principles

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Advanced degree preferred but not mandatory
