- Product Lifecycle Management and Verification and Validation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with production and procurement teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, fabrication, prototyping, and flight testing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and launch systems.
- Own complex mechanical designs from concept to full rate production.
- Conduct trade studies to determine best solutions and perform structural analyses.
- Lead design reviews and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.
- Build prototypes, execute hardware test plans, and summarize design iterations and results.
- Investigate root causes of hardware failures in development and production.
- Balance operational needs optimizing for development speed, mass, manufacturability, and cost.
- Support hardware demonstrations with customers and travel to test sites as needed.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
