Cloud Security Engineer
Skills
- Expertise with Google Cloud Platform security tools and cloud alerting integration.
- Experience securing environments on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Strong SaaS security knowledge including IAM, encryption, and API security.
- Advanced scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, and Chronicle.
- Experience with managing cloud and third-party firewalls and WAFs.
- Knowledge of multi-cloud IAM best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks including GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and CMMC.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize cloud security architectures and monitor security alerts from SIEM systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud-native firewalls and Web Application Firewalls protecting web applications.
- Respond to customer security questionnaires and create network and architecture diagrams.
- Review and resolve security alerts as part of Level-2 Security Operations support.
- Lead firewall reviews, access reviews, system reviews, and risk assessments for SaaS security.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, and CSA STAR.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by communicating technical concepts and delivering presentations.
- Support incident response and lead incident response initiatives and documentation.
- Manage vulnerability management and penetration testing programs and collaborate on remediation.
- Research and evaluate emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and best practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Statistics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- CISSP certification required.
- Preferred Microsoft, GCP, or Azure security certifications such as CISM or CCSP.
