Skills
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Experience with network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
- Proficiency with network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable network solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Maintain and optimize network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Promptly diagnose and resolve network issues to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
- Implement and enforce network security measures aligning with industry standards.
- Monitor network performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with IT teams and other departments on network-related projects and initiatives.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
