The Team:

AQR Global Trading Strategies group is responsible for trading of all AQR investment strategies. The group manages global trading of all major asset classes and instruments, including equities, credit, bonds, FX, futures, options, and swaps. The trading philosophy of the group is rooted in building expertise in liquidity sourcing and market structure across asset classes, systematically reviewing the factors that affect transaction costs, understanding the investment strategies and building systematic processes, transaction cost analysis, trading models and automated trading algorithms to minimize slippage, increase capacity and enhance returns of AQR investment strategies.

Your Role:

We are looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join our team as a trading assistant, covering execution of a spectrum of asset classes including equities, commodities, futures, delta one products and fx via both low touch and high touch work streams. The candidate will be a part of the global portfolio implementation, trading and financing team and work directly with various parts of the firm to help efficient implementation of strategies. Major part of the job is also going to be ensuring that the daily execution is being done in an optimal fashion. The candidate should be able to run multiple projects in parallel, understand stakeholder needs and effectively prioritize projects and tasks while ensuring that we achieve our long-term strategic goals.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related quantitative field with a passion for markets
• Must understand various instruments including Cash, Futures, Swaps and other Delta one products
• Must understand market structure and liquidity
• Must have exposure to various execution algorithms and understand the differences
• Must be proficient in SQL, Python and very comfortable working with large data sets
• Must have a good grasp on macro-economic fundamentals
• Knowledge of systematic investing principles and techniques a plus

The salary range for this role is expected to be $80,000 to $100,000.  This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs.  This wage range may also be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
