AP Supervisor
Skills
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite
- Proficiency in AP automation tools such as Coupa and Concur
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and formulas
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX controls, and IRS regulations (1099 and T&E)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in deadline-driven settings
- Analytical mindset focused on accuracy and efficiency
Responsibilities
- Supervise full-cycle accounts payable including invoice processing, approvals, vendor setup, and disbursements
- Lead and manage a team of AP specialists providing guidance, workload management, and training
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices and employee reimbursements according to policies
- Review and approve AP transactions ensuring proper coding and policy compliance
- Handle escalated vendor issues and resolve discrepancies or payment disputes
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, IRS 1099 reporting, and other regulations
- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist month-end close
- Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, and Accounting to improve financial workflows
- Identify and implement AP process improvements and automation opportunities
- Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation
- Support cross-functional initiatives and serve as subject matter expert for AP policies and ERP systems
- Monitor KPIs and report on AP metrics to enhance efficiency and vendor satisfaction
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Associate’s degree required
