Strategic Customer Success Manager

Backlight is a media technology company focused on improving the video and entertainment content lifecycle. They seek a Strategic Customer Success Manager to maintain and grow key customer relationships across Iconik and Wildmoka products, driving customer success and commercial growth while navigating complex media workflows.

Skills

  • Customer success and account management expertise
  • Strong communication with technical stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and track record in renewals and growth
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Gainsight, or similar platforms
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and time zones
  • Proactive and organized approach to customer outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic customers for Iconik and Wildmoka products
  • Build and maintain relationships with technical and business stakeholders
  • Own onboarding, adoption, renewals, and expansion phases post-sale
  • Proactively monitor account health and mitigate retention risks
  • Identify and pursue upsell opportunities with sales collaboration
  • Align solutions with customer goals delivering measurable ROI
  • Convey customer insights to Product, Engineering, and GTM teams
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers for technical conversations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experiences

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
