This is a full-time research genetic counselor position. This position will support the Genomic Answer for Kids project and potentially other genomic studies withing the Children’s Mercy Research Institute. Specific responsibilities include overseeing the research genetic counselor assistants, communicating with families/patients enrolled in research studies, provide in person and TH genetic counseling related to research studies, work with marketing to create newsletters and updates, present to providers and community groups on various research projects, submit manuscripts/abstracts, supporting research center staff including variant analysts, principle investigators, and laboratory staff with research genetic testing process, track and route samples for research genetic testing, communicate with providers about research study processes and results, medical record review and curation of phenotypes.

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $36.64/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
This position is entirely remote or work from home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area or request advanced approval to work outside of the area and may attend onsite meetings, as scheduled.
