StaffThe Senior Relationship Manager plays a key leadership role in Dallas College’s workforce innovation efforts under the Relationship and Innovation Strategy Engagement (RISE) initiative. This position supports the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Autonomous Initiative, a large-scale, federally funded workforce development program focused on automation, mobility, and transportation-sector careers.
This role is responsible for both internal project coordination and external stakeholder engagement, serving as a bridge between Dallas College departments and community, industry, and public sector partners. The position manages events, facilitates sponsor relationships, ensures grant compliance, and drives outcomes that align with regional workforce needs.
This is not currently a supervisory role, but it requires high-level collaboration, communication, and strategic alignment across functions.
Demonstrated success in employer engagement, partnership coordination, and external relations
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort engaging with executive-level stakeholders
Proficiency in Workday required; Colleague experience preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, dashboards, and data tracking)
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms such as Salesforce
Ability to lead internal coordination and cross-functional alignment without supervisory authority
Ability to identify system requirements.
Advanced knowledge of functions and requirements of assigned program area, ability to assess user needs, obtain information and communicate in a clear and logical manner.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.
Manage incoming student career connected learning profiles.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Management & Internal Execution
Coordinates internal project execution, timelines, deliverables, and reporting for TxDOT and related grant-funded initiatives
Tracks program performance metrics, participant data, and compliance documentation using Workday and Microsoft Excel
Facilitates internal readiness, kickoff meetings, and collaboration across departments
Maintains reporting calendars and ensure timely submission of all required documentation
Supports proposal development, grant documentation, and contract fulfillment as needed
Partner Engagement & External Strategy
Cultivates and manages high-level relationships with employers, community organizations, and public agencies including the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), United States Department of Labor (DOL), and local Workforce Solutions boards
Represents Dallas College at industry convenings, panels, and strategic events
Leads employer engagement strategies that support internships, apprenticeships, and workforce development program implementation
Maintains partner records, correspondence, and relationship dashboards using customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce
Engages with executive leadership and public-sector stakeholders to co-develop workforce training and talent pipeline strategies
Events & Sponsorships
Plans and executes workforce events, site visits, and convenings in support of grant deliverables and partner collaboration
Coordinates internal logistics and cross-functional planning for high-visibility events
Cultivates and secures sponsorships and in-kind contributions from public and private sector organizations
Creates sponsorship materials, tracking tools, and impact reports
Required Skills and Competencies:
Manage various scheduled and planned projects.
Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum three (3) years of experience in workforce development, including direct engagement with business, industry, or community stakeholders to design and implement workforce solutions and/or apprenticeships
Minimum two (2) years of experience managing or supporting federally or state-funded grants
Successful completion of a background check is required
