Job Purpose:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and refining processes for migrating and integrating applications into cloud environments. You'll ensure that infrastructure and application designs align with security, compliance, and performance standards. The role bridges cloud engineering, capacity planning, and solution architecture, requiring a balance of software engineering expertise and deep cloud platform knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance processes for deploying applications to Azure and other cloud platforms.
• Partner with internal clients, engineering, and architecture teams to ensure cloud solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant.
• Apply full-stack development knowledge to optimize cloud integrations and application designs.
• Implement and advocate for DevOps methodologies and IaC to ensure efficient cloud operations.
• Identify potential security vulnerabilities and ensure alignment with regulatory compliance requirements.
• Communicate technical insights effectively to various audiences including end users, program managers, engineers, and executives.
• Support Cloud Runway Engineering and Cloud Capacity Engineering initiatives through analysis, planning, and design reviews.
• Conduct cloud engineering reviews and guide Cloud Runway activities to align with strategic objectives.
• Assist platform and product teams with proof of concept initiatives and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Business Product teams to adapt application designs for cloud environments while considering long-term infrastructure needs.
• Work closely with cloud security and compliance teams to guide architectural decisions and best practices.
• Provide expertise in CI/CD tools, ensuring smooth integration and deployment workflows.
• Participate in capacity planning, cloud onboarding assessments, and infrastructure state evaluations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and other major cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, architecture, and application design principles.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Solid background in full-stack development and integrating software solutions into cloud ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate cloud security risks.
• Knowledge of compliance standards relevant to cloud environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse teams and leadership.
• Experience conducting cloud engineering design reviews and leading Cloud Runway processes.
• Skilled in driving proof of concepts and platform evaluations.
• Ability to understand and adapt business product designs for cloud deployment.
• Strong collaboration skills with cloud engineering, security, and compliance teams.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Experience in capacity planning, cloud onboarding analysis, and infrastructure design.
