Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and onboard equipment for thermal control systems focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Design, fabricate, and activate ground support equipment and test articles with technicians focused on pressurized ground systems.
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify manufacturing and testing equipment, including pressurized systems.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing plans, assembly procedures, and work instructions.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design teams to inform manufacturability and testing of thermal and environmental hardware components.
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely, quality delivery and approve supplier manufacturing processes.
- Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to establish and maintain manufacturing quality control processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to foster innovation.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or related field
