Easterseals Iowa’s Outpatient Therapy program provides support primarily to people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. We are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to individuals and groups in our community.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic intern to support our clinical team in delivering group therapy services. This internship is ideal for students in psychology, counseling, social work, or related fields who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and provide support during group therapy sessions.
- Observe and assist in client assessments alongside licensed therapists.
- Draft assessment documentation with guidance and feedback from supervising therapists.
- Complete weekly clinical documentation and progress notes with guidance and feedback from supervising therapists.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions as appropriate.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a relevant academic program with a required internship or practicum. Must be enrolled in this course with the school.

- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
