Skills
- Experience with statutory or US GAAP accounting in insurance.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency with PeopleSoft General Ledger, Business Object Enterprise, Hyperion, Essbase, Wings, Workiva, and Gain preferred.
- Knowledge of liquidity management, treasury operations, and short-term cash markets.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze statutory financial statements and management reports.
- Reconcile ledger transactions and prepare journal entries within the close cycle.
- Complete monthly balance sheet and transaction reconciliations.
- Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory schedules for life and health insurance filings.
- Assist with external audits by preparing work papers and analyzing financial data.
- Research and respond to ad-hoc requests including regulatory and rating agency inquiries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and improve reporting processes.
- Coordinate liquidity management and cash deployment aligned with investment objectives.
- Develop and implement short-term cash management frameworks and reporting tools.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
