We’re looking for a Market Director to join our founding team and drive Gyde’s in-market growth. You’ll be a key pillar of our go-to-market strategy, leveraging your existing relationships with agency owners and prospecting skills to accelerate our pipeline development. This is more than a job: it’s an opportunity to co-build a category-defining company and grow rapidly as our GTM engine scales.
Working closely with Gyde leadership, you will own the execution of Gyde’s in-market lead generation strategy. You will be responsible for identifying and reaching out to target agency owners that align with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Importantly, you will focus on introducing Gyde to your existing network of high-potential agency owners with whom you’ve built deep relationships over years of doing business. Furthermore, you will leverage your entrepreneurial skills to drive engagement through compelling outreach (e.g., cold emails, calls, text, Linkedin, etc.) and evangelize Gyde’s value to agency owners that would be new to your network. Ultimately, your goal will be to book qualified, high-conversion meetings with C-level agency owners for Gyde’s leadership and continuously refine and optimize your playbook, iterating on messaging, channels, and measurements based on data.
The ideal candidate has a bias for action, who moves fast, improvises when needed, and doesn’t settle for “no”. You have proven sales DNA and you know how to push through adversity - rejection doesn’t slow you down and, if anything, it drives you harder. You excel in unstructured environments and bring creative, resourceful ways to reach prospects. You’re methodical, build repeatable workflows, and use data to inform every step. You’re an industry thought leader, have longstanding relationships with the top agency owners, and its clear that others follow wherever you go.
What you’ll do:
Set 1-2 qualified meetings per week with prospective agency owners
Outreach to prospective agency owners
Pitch the Gyde platform to generate interest in an acquisition
Set quality meetings with Gyde leadership
Build Gyde’s database of prospective agency partners
Leverage existing relationships and referral networks
Source for prospects online and via databases (e.g., Apollo, Openmart, Clay, etc.)
Add information to Salesforce and keep up-to-date
Help build Gyde’s sales development infrastructure
Support building out Salesforce and Apollo
Create sales scripts, email templates, and outreach sequences
What we’re looking for:
+10 years of insurance sales experience, either on the broker or carrier side
BA/BS degree (or relevant work experience)
Deep relationships with top Medicare and/or commercial insurance agency owners
Strong understanding of health insurance distribution
Creativity to handle objections and tenacity to push towards advancements
Excellent prospecting and creative problem-solving skills
Terrific communication and team collaboration skills
Comfort with ambiguity; ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment
Experience working within sales engagement software and CRM
