Revenue Management Specialist

We’re looking for an experienced Revenue Management professional to fill this role. The Specialist, Revenue Management works closely with Revenue Management Analysts and Pricing & Demand, accurately facilitating pricing and amenity promotions into the reservation system via action plans to operations teams. The Specialist will collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.  In addition, this role allows the Specialist to exercise their analytical skills. The Specialist has a significant impact on the organization's revenue generation and overall financial performance. By facilitating the build of promotional offers, the Specialist helps the company achieve its financial goals and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities   

  • Work closely with Operations Support to ensure promos are loaded correctly for a given initiative (promotions/select accounts/casino offers/etc.).  Testing of pricing and amenity promotions to ensure they are working as intended.                                                                            
  • Clearly communicate with pricing Managers and Directors regarding promotional concerns and/or discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain pricing & promotion action plans.                                                                               
  • Work to improve efficiencies in the Revenue Management action plan process.
  • Assist with occasional analysis or promotion/pricing related projects.                            
  • Additional duties as assigned.

This position is a hybrid position and you must be able to work our hybrid scheduled of two days from home three days (Tues-Thurs) in our office in Seattle. 

Requirements

  • 2+ years related revenue management experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with revenue management concepts and/or prior revenue management experience, in the travel industry a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of database and report writing tools 
  • Knowledge of the cruise industry business environment including marketing, sales and operations a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication & organizational skills essential 
  • Ability to analyze data, make decisions and be accountable for bottom-line performance 
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking with senior leadership
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status)

  • Base Hourly Range: $25.58 to $34.52. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
