Junior IT & Security Analyst

Humata Health is seeking an experienced and adaptable Junior IT & Security Analyst to support the development and maintenance of secure IT infrastructure and systems. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our technology meets security standards and delivers exceptional value. As a key member of a growing company, you will have the opportunity to wear many hats and contribute to multiple aspects of IT security and operations.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Perform IT security assessments and remediation activities and ensure teams adhere to the organization's security policies and standards

• Maintain technical ownership of security and IT tools

• Manage enterprise tools and solutions that support the business

• Handle access and accounts management

• Serve as a technical escalation point for all security team alerts, incidents, and concerns

• Evangelize IT security fundamentals, tools, and processes, and act as a consultative partner with IT and business teams

• Provide technical troubleshooting and support

• Participate in documentation and adherence to security policies, standards, and operating procedures

• Participate as a key member in security incident response activities and daily security operational tasks

• Perform evaluation and recommendation of current and future technology solutions to mitigate risk to the business

• Perform routine and new initiative performance/policy optimizations to ensure the balance between security and productivity

• Monitor and assess security industry trends, providing recommendations on emerging threats and technologies related to our current and future-state posture

• Perform other duties as necessary
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Information Technology

• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2 frameworks (preferred)

• Strong understanding of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud

• Strong analytical skills with ability to pull data and build reports

• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
