Skills
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS and GCP.
- Strong knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio and Linkerd.
- Experience with proxies such as Envoy and NGINX, and API gateways.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi), and GitOps.
- Understanding of security compliance frameworks like SOC2 and FedRAMP.
- Strong communication and mentorship skills.
- Knowledge of production observability including logging, metrics, and alerting.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of platform APIs integrating cloud and SaaS services.
- Own delivery of service orchestration layers for provisioning, access control, and observability.
- Architect and evolve service mesh and API gateway infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, guidance, and pairing.
- Optimize routing, failover, and ingress/egress strategies for performance and cost.
- Develop tooling for traffic observability, policy enforcement, and access control.
- Set technical direction and mentor teams within Infrastructure and broader engineering org.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and developer experience teams for policy alignment.
- Promote best practices adoption across engineering teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
