As a Global Facilities Operations Center Coordinator, you will be an active team member within the Global Facilities Operations Center (GFOC), driving critical information throughout our organization. Our GFOC Coordinators work at the crossroads of the daily information flow into and out of the IDEXX World Campus, analyzing, mining, and connecting the dots between events and trends that affect business continuity. Absorption and transformation of data and details into succinct, effective messaging to those who will benefit from it most, will be the ongoing goal for team members in this position.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a passion for gathering, analyzing, and manipulating data into actionable intelligence, then sharing that information using the best communications methods available. An analytical mindset and the ability to convert spreadsheets and data into trends and solutions is a must; As is the ability to communicate both in writing and orally with proficiency and professionalism. Excellent organizational skills, an affinity for multi-tasking, and time management will also be trademarks of the person best suited for this role. What do You Need to Succeed?
In the role of a Global Facilities Operations Center Coordinator, you will:
Monitor inputs from all IDEXX facilities: World Campus, domestic and international, and recognize potential business disruption concerns
Draft and disseminate critical information regarding advisory or emergent situations through the most effective communication method.
Develop and maintain current Facility Operations databases and files, which will be shared with the organization for projects, process improvement, and planning purposes.
Own and maintain the running log of relevant activities across the global IDEXX portfolio for our 24/7-coverage Facilities Operations Center.
Write professional incident reports in a timely manner for ongoing response support and to become a matter of record for future use.
Operate and serve as a subject matter expert for various software applications, including access control, surveillance, mass notification, and duty of care programs.
Partner with IDEXX security, human resources, and leadership on sensitive personnel-related investigations and security concerns.
Conduct audits and tests of key IDEXX operational functions in partnership with the Facilities Team.
Provide the highest level of customer service as the front-line point of contact for internal and external IDEXX customers.
Notify the IDEXX facilities and maintenance teams of pertinent issues as they become known. Coordinate intermediate and final solutions as appropriate.
Monitor phones, radios, surveillance cameras, door alarms, the emergency management system, building automation systems and weather-related software. Makes general and emergency notifications and announcements accordingly.
Ensure compliance with IDEXX rules and immediately initiate corrective actions for any deviation from Federal, State, Local, and/or IDEXX Regulations.
Respond to operational issues at the direction of the Facilities Operations Center Manager.
Schedule:
This is a 3rd shift position - Wednesday - Saturday - 10pm - 8:30am
This is a full-time (40 hour/week) position
The schedule is set around the business needs of a 24/7 Operations Center. All schedules should expect one traditional weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) as part of the work week and holidays.
IDEXX expects the GFOC Coordinator to be covered 24/7. Team members will be asked to cover additional shifts or portions of additional shifts as needed to maintain necessary coverage.
This position is considered essential within the IDEXX organization, with all Coordinators on-site and based out of our World Campus in Westbrook, Maine.
