Position Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Custom Industrial & Mining Equipment
Location: Butler, Wisconsin Area
Type: Full-Time, Onsite Only
Compensation: $105,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience
Employment Type: Permanent W-2 with Full Benefits (No relocation assistance offered)

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in custom heavy industrial and mining equipment. This role offers hands-on design work in a highly customized, low-volume manufacturing environment. You’ll join a company committed to employee development and product innovation, contributing to a variety of impactful, non-repetitive projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept through completion using SolidWorks.
- Apply knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and metallurgy in machine design.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and to specification.
- Build and mentor an engineering team as departmental needs grow.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), fracture and stress testing documentation.
- Communicate effectively across departments and with clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing heavy industrial equipment, preferably in mining applications.
- Strong background in SolidWorks, BOM creation, and stress/fracture analysis.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Solid, stable work history with a residence within a 45-minute commute to Butler, WI.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.

- Minimal travel required to get familiar with client environments and equipment.
