Customer Service Representative

Description

Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP), which seeks to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services and community collaborations that create solutions to poverty, is looking to hire a full-time Customer Service Representative in Augusta. The person in this position is responsible for answering incoming calls and transferring when appropriate. Assisting clients and visitors when needed. Provide clerical support, information, and completes various office tasks for the Fleet Operations Supervisor, Agency drivers and the Transportation program in general. This position does require working on some agency holidays.

Requirements

  

  • Two years related experience, preferable.
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate pleasantly and assist a wide variety of people.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and use of office machines
  • Accurate typing, filing, calculation, and data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Agency programs and area resources helpful.
  • Familiarity with Somerset, Kennebec and surrounding areas a plus
  • Ability to read a map, give clear directions and familiarity in using computer database for scheduling a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to participate as a team member.
  • Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Health and Human Services, Fraud and Sex Offender Registry background checks.
