Staff Manufacturing Reliability Engineer
Skills
- 10+ years of reliability engineering experience in consumer electronics or electro-mechanical products
- Hands-on experience in reliability V&V development and execution
- Proven experience with DFR activities such as lifecycle assessments and DFMEA
- Expertise in environmental, mechanical, and electrical reliability testing methods
- Knowledge of reliability modeling and statistical tools like Weibull++
- Familiarity with non-destructive and destructive testing techniques
- Strong communication skills for technical and leadership audiences
- Experience collaborating with global suppliers and distributed engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Define reliability targets and evaluation methods based on product use cases and lifecycle expectations
- Lead Design for Reliability (DFR), Verification & Validation (V&V), and experimental activities with cross-functional teams
- Assess new technologies, components, and assemblies for reliability risk and develop mitigation strategies
- Design and implement reliability test methods and develop specialized test equipment
- Document test procedures and support lab technicians with detailed work instructions
- Evaluate and quantify reliability risks using statistical modeling
- Develop reliability strategies and test plans for new products, engineering/process changes, and ongoing reliability testing
- Collaborate on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and validation of product improvements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
