Skills
- Expertise in developing automated factory equipment and processes for high-volume manufacturing
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing process optimization
- Proficiency in design for manufacturability and assembly (DFX, DFMA)
- Knowledge of process capability analysis (CPK/MSA) and statistical tools such as JMP or MATLAB
- Mechanical design skills using Creo or equivalent for part, process, and fixture development
- Lean manufacturing and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams
Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative manufacturing solutions for optical display technologies from concept to execution
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with product design, optical engineering, and supply chain teams
- Develop, prototype, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure smooth NPI to high-volume production transitions
- Conduct risk assessments, tradeoff analyses, and process experimentation to improve manufacturing strategies
- Evaluate and integrate vendors and contract manufacturers to maintain process capability and quality standards
- Design and qualify manufacturing tools, fixtures, and assembly aides for scalable production
- Establish and refine product readiness and execution strategies to achieve high-quality manufacturing
- Use production data and benchmarks to inform design improvements, optimizing cost, quality, and efficiency
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
