Regional Sales Director

Mark43 builds modern, cloud-based Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management System (RMS), and analytics platforms for public safety. Our mission is to empower communities and first responders with reliable, forward-thinking technology that improves safety, transparency, and operational efficiency.  

We’re a team of mission-driven professionals, from engineers to former first responders, united by a commitment to service. We work closely with public safety agencies, including some of the largest and most innovative in the country, to modernize their tools and help them serve their communities more effectively.  

We’re looking for a Regional Sales Director to lead our sales team in the North East. In this role, you’ll support a group of talented Account Executives as they grow Mark43’s presence in the region. You’ll guide the team through complex government sales cycles and build lasting relationships with public safety agencies.  This position is ideal for someone who thrives in strategic, consultative sales environments and is passionate about helping communities through technology. This hire will report to our SVP of Sales. 

 

What You Will Do  

  • Lead the North East regional sales team and support each team member in achieving their goals.  
  • Develop and execute a clear and scalable sales strategy that aligns with regional needs and Mark43’s mission.  
  • Build and maintain relationships with public safety leaders, including agency executives and command staff.  
  • Provide guidance on navigating long and complex government sales processes, including procurement, RFPs, and product evaluations.  
  • Forecast revenue and performance across the region and provide regular updates to senior leadership.  
  • Partner with teams across the company, including Product, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing, to ensure a strong customer experience.  
  • Represent Mark43 at industry events, public safety forums, and conferences.  
  • Monitor public sector trends and identify opportunities for thoughtful and sustainable growth.  

 

What You Will Need  

  • At least 8 years of experience in enterprise software or SaaS sales, including 3 or more years in a leadership role.  
  • Experience selling into the public sector, with a strong understanding of public safety procurement cycles and agency structures.  
  • A thoughtful approach to team leadership, with a focus on development, mentorship, and collaboration.  
  • Proven ability to manage large, consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.  
  • Willingness to travel within the North East as needed, approximately 50 percent of the time.
