Pine Technical and Community College seeks an Applied Engineering, Design and Fabrication Adjunct Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives. Faculty members at PTCC are professionally active scholars who participate in departmental and campus-wide activities to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse an collaboration, and advance the college mission. Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial technology, prototype engineering technology, industrial design, or related engineering/technology field of study.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

  • Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified paid work experience in design and fabrication. Related experience in areas such as CNC (computer numerical control) machining, 3D software (Solidworks, Pro-E, etc.), traditional machining (lathes, milling machine), finishing workshops (new paints, etc.), rapid prototyping (3 dimensional printing).

RECENCY REQUIREMENT

  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Other Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

A job offer may be contingent upon successfully passing a background check. The background check may consist of the following components:

• Employment Reference Check

• Conflict of Interest Review
